Marketing and Generative AI: A Year of Big Changes
Imagine creating eight times more content while dramatically cutting costs. In 2024, brands that leveraged Generative AI in their creative workflows did just that.
This once-futuristic technology has quickly become integral to how businesses operate, streamlining processes and unlocking creative possibilities we could only dream of a year ago. The level of personalization brands can achieve today is extraordinary, delivering tailored content with unmatched speed and precision.
At Connected-Stories, we’ve been proud to lead the charge, working since 2018 to integrate AI into every part of the creative process, helping brands create, personalize, and optimize content at scale.
What we’ve seen during this first year of large-scale adoption has been nothing short of transformative. Companies are no longer just experimenting with AI—they’re seeing real, measurable results.
Breaking Down Barriers
Of course, it hasn’t always been easy – any big change comes with challenges.
Early on, many marketing teams were unsure how AI would fit into their workflows and worried about its impact on their roles. The idea of adopting Generative AI was also overwhelming for some, with so many possibilities and no clear starting point.
What we’ve found is that starting small can make all the difference. Rather than diving into large-scale transformations, focused pilot projects allow teams to test the waters and focus on key use cases aligned with their goals, whether that’s scaling content production or optimizing multi-channel campaigns.
The key is to pinpoint areas where Generative AI can deliver immediate value while leaving room for growth. The plug-and-play nature of Connected-Stories has been crucial in easing this transition, allowing companies to skip lengthy integrations or steep learning curves. We’ve made sure that, with our platform, any company can begin to leverage Generative AI immediately and gain tangible benefits from day one.
As these pilot projects prove their value, the natural next step is to expand—adopting more advanced features, experimenting with additional channels, and driving deeper personalization.
This approach has proven transformative for bold, forward-thinking brands like Bayer and LuisaViaRoma, with whom we’ve been lucky to partner throughout the year.
Our vision has always been to seamlessly enhance existing workflows with AI, giving enterprises better tools for each step of the content lifecycle. Together with our partners, in 2024 we’ve successfully shown how that can be done, and how Generative AI can easily become a strategic asset for enterprises.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As we move into 2025, it’s clear that Generative AI will continue to bring real value, making processes more efficient and unlocking new creative possibilities.
Especially considering the exciting developments soon coming to the market, like large-scale video generation, a feature we’re getting ready to roll out here at Connected-Stories. Soon, brands will be able to turn static images into high-quality video content in just minutes. This will bring huge cost savings and open up fresh opportunities for rapid concept testing and deeper personalization.
We’re already working with our top clients to explore how this can make a difference, and we’re excited to see the first real-world applications.
But there’s plenty more ahead – from deeper customization of the AI models to produce richer, on-brand assets, to increasingly powerful AI Agents able to create, analyze and improve content from simple natural language. We’re only just scratching the surface of what’s possible.
A Big Thank You
As we look back on an incredible year, we want to say thank you to our clients and partners—you’ve been at the heart of this journey. Your curiosity, creativity, and willingness to embrace new ideas have been key to making everything possible.
As we step into 2025, we’re excited to keep building, innovating, and exploring what’s next, together.
Here’s to another year of bold ideas and great stories!
